Oxy Hires Sae Woon Jo for New Position

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Aug. 16, 2007) – Occidental College assistant football coach and video coordinator Sae Woon Jo will add a new title to his resume effective August 16, 2007. The Southern California native has signed on as the Club Sports and Intramurals Coordinator with additional responsibilities as the Athletic Facilities and Equipment Manager.
The majority of Jo’s time will be devoted to managing the daily operations of seven Club and Intramural sports that draw over 150 students. He will assume the responsibilities for scheduling and organizing events.
Since 2003 Jo has worked closely with the Oxy football Defensive and Special Teams Coordinators. He has assisted Head Coach Dale Widolff with day-to-day operations regarding the football program, including but not limited to facility operation, coordination of travel and recruiting. Also, Jo has been the point person for all video operations and cinematographic needs of the Tigers.
In 2003-04 he served as an assistant coach to the Los Angeles Avengers of the Arena Football League. There he was responsible for both on and off field preparation as well as creating scouting reports and video work.
Jo, a 2003 graduate of the University of California, San Diego, brings a background rich with organizational and managerial skills as well as extensive work with databases and scheduling from jobs as a research associate and bank representative.
