Men's Lacrosse Starts off Its Season
The Men's Lacrosse team opened their season with a hard fought game against Concorida University. The Tigers led at half but came out slow in the third quarter and ended up losing 9-5 at full time. The team showed great enthusiasm and energy throughout the game and won the hitting battles and ground balls. Solid defense and efficient play on the offensive end helped maintain the competitiveness of the game all the way through. Impressive performances from defensemen Zach Lundgren and Duncan Marks made sure that no opponents would get a clean shot on goal without paying a hefty physical price. The midfield ran hard and came away with possession on the majority of face off chances with Cameron Kerst and Josh Wiener dominating the spot. The attackmen lit up the scoreboard for Occidental early in the game and capitalized on several opportunities on smooth passing between Shane Cumings, Andrew Leede and Michael Berman. Despite the loss, this was a fantastic game to start the season for the Men's Lacrosse team. They plan on keeping their momentum going into their upcoming league games against Biola and Cal Lutheran.
