LOS ANGELES — Eamon McNeil was named First Team All-SCIAC as an outfielder on Thursday, headlining three Occidental baseball players that were recognized on the list.
Bryan Smith was named to the Second Team as an outfielder and Nolan Watson also made the Second Team as a pitcher. Oxy second baseman Graham Pimm was the Tigers' representative on the All-Sportsmanship team.
McNeil, who earned SCIAC Baseball Player of the Week honors earlier this year, hit .353 with four home runs and 21 runs batted in during conference play. He also had an on base percentage of .453 and a slugging percentage of .612.
Smith was fifth in the SCIAC with five home runs, drove in 21 runs and hit .320.
Watson was Oxy's Friday ace, going 2-2 with a 3.00 earned run average in 45 conference innings. He struck out 39 batters for the sixth best total in the league.
Pimm was chosen to the All-Sportsmanship team as an outstanding competitor offensively and defensively.
Oxy finished with another winning season, going 22-17 overall, and was fifth in the SCIAC at 13-11.
