LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Feb. 6, 2010) – A stormy morning that looked to put a damper on the Tigers’ scheduled opening day let up and a patch of blue, dry skies opened up, allowing the Occidental College baseball team to take the field and get the 2010 season underway. The Tigers jumped out to an early 4-0 lead after two innings en route to a 12-2 victory over the visiting Whitworth College Pirates.
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Feb. 5, 2010) – An improved Tigers baseball squad enters the 2010 season energized and focused as they look to better their 16-24 overall record from a year ago. Returning to the diamond this spring are a 11 letter winners who will be joined by 12 incoming student-athletes.
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Feb. 2, 2010) – The Occidental College 2010 Varsity baseball team got a great warm-up for their opening game next weekend by dominating the Alumni Team last Saturday afternoon at Anderson Field. The Varsity won 24-3 in the “official” 8 ½ innings. A bottom of the ninth was played in which the Varsity added one more run to make 25 on the day.
