LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Oct. 16, 2008) – For the first time in his four year career Anthony Ostland earned SCIAC Athlete of the Week honors for his performance on the football field during the week of October 6-12, 2008.

A senior captain from Las Cruces, NM, Ostland played an integral role in the Tigers’ upset of the then #14 Redlands Bulldogs with a 28-15 win on the road Saturday, Oct. 11.

The linebacker paced the defense recording a game-high nine total tackles for the second time in as many weeks (9.0 against CMS with a sack for a loss of eight yards).
