With over 30 years of coaching experience and strong ties to the Southern California area, Jeff Kearin has been tabbed to coach the Tigers’ running backs and oversee the special teams.

A former quarterback for the University of San Diego, Kearin later graduated with his undergraduate degree from Loyola Marymount and earned his law degree from Whittier College. He began his coaching career in 1979 as an assistant for Loyola High School.

Kearin comes to Occidental from McMinnville HS in Oregon where he was the head coach from 2010-2011.  His prior coaching experiences include:

A Los Angeles native, Kearin lives in Moorpark, CA with his wife Becky and three daughters: Maggie, Ellie and Mary Katherine.
