Harris Named to D3Football.com Team of the Week

LOS ANGELES -- Cordell Harris earned another weekly honor on Tuesday after a big performance last weekend.

The do-it-all wide receiver and return specialist was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week.

Harris, a senior captain from Portland, Ore., caught six passes for 62 yards and a touchdown, returned a kick off 96 yards for a score, and even intercepted a pass and made six tackles playing defensive back in the Tigers' 56-38 win over Whittier in the Battle for the Shoes on Saturday.

Harris was also named the SCIAC Football Player of the Week on Monday.

Harris, who was an All-SCIAC wide receiver last season, is leading the SCIAC in receptions per game (8.0) and all purpose yards (186.7). He's fifth in receiving yards per game (80.7), and third in receiving touchdowns (6).

Harris is sixth all-time in Oxy history with 1,886 receiving yards and is likely Oxy's all-time receptions leader, a stat that has only been formally kept for the last 15 years.

The Tigers have two games remaining in their season. Oxy plays at Cal Lutheran on Saturday and then at Chapman on Nov. 12.
