OAK VALLEY — The Occidental men's golf team finished fourth at the SCIAC Championship Tournament and fourth in the overall SCIAC stroke standings.
Oxy had the lowest round of any SCIAC school on Monday and made its way up to as high as third but dropped to fourth on the final day of competition during the 54-hole contest.
Colton Bares led Oxy with a 219 over three rounds (79/68/72) shooting a 2-over 72 on Tuesday to finish as the seventh best individual. Cameron Connor was Oxy's second best and 10th overall at 224 (72/76/76), Dylan Jirsa was third and 14th at 226 (72/73/81) and Will Mansfield was fourth and 18th with a 227 (78/75/74).
Bares was named the conference's Jesse Clark Sportsmanship Award Winner.
"I'm happy with the way we competed with some of the best teams in the country this weekend and I'm excited about our improvement throughout the year," Oxy head coach Will Morris said.
