Men’s Soccer Ready for 2008

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (August 29, 2008) – Occidental College men’s soccer has undergone some changes in the off season including a new head coach in DJ Waddington and a number of new players after graduating a class of 10 in 2007.

Las fall the Tigers posted a 7-9-1 overall record, finishing 6-7-1 in SCIAC play for fifth place, just one spot out of contention for the first ever SCIAC Post Season Tournament.

The senior class of seven will lead the younger players this season. Fran Taylor, a 2006 First Team All-SCIAC recipient, and Aaron Mun will serve as forwards for the Tigers while Mike Davis and Griffin Harding will anchor the defense, with Harding also playing mid-field. In front of the cage Alex Combs also returns for his senior campaign.

An addition of 10 players will aide Oxy in filling the void left by three All-SCIAC players who graduated last year.
