Leopards Get the Most of Tigers
LA VERNE, Calif. (Sept. 20, 2008) – A battle through and through ended with a 1-0 Tigers loss to the University of La Verne in Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Action on the road.
A 56th minute goal off the foot of Gilad Hoffman was the determining factor in today’s conference match.
The Tigers had ample opportunities, taking 12 shots, but none of those found its way past ULV goalie Adam Jaime who finished with five saves.
Freshman James Kornfield took a team high four shots for Occidental. Ian Powell blocked three of the Leopards 14 shots in 90 minutes of action.
Oxy will be back in action on Wednesday, Sept.
24 when they host the Caltech Beavers at the Lower Soccer Field at
4:00 p.m.
