Oxy Soccer Beats Caltech, Playoff Hopes Alive

PASADENARiley McCabe scord a pair of goals and Ryan Wilson had two assists as Oxy kept its playoff hopes alive with a 6-0 win at Caltech on Wednesday.

McCabe scored the first two goals of his career and the final two goals of the game in the second half.

Elijah Remy, Morgan Bennett-Smith, Liam Walsh and Grayson Burdon all scored one goal for Oxy. Remy, Tod Kawada, Tyler Wray and Peter Laminette all recorded assists. 

Season Impact: With two SCIAC games left to play, Oxy improves to 8-8-1 overall and 7-7 in SCIAC play. Oxy trails the fourth and final playoff spot by one point in the standings, pending Wednesday night's conference results.  

Next Game: The Tigers are back in action against Pomona-Pitzer on Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. Oxy finishes the regular season at first-place Redlands on Oct. 29.
