Sakamoto named to All-West Region team

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Nov. 18, 2009) Following the fall season of 2009 a number of Occidental College athletes were recognized by the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference after being earning All-SCIAC honors.
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Oct. 31, 2009) Donning the black and orange for the last time, senior Gil Ortega and English exchange student Rob Tuttlebee played their final game for the Occidental College Tigers. The match, played against the Whittier College Poets, lasted 120 minutes after double overtime, ending in a 0-0 tie.
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Oct. 17, 2009) With four games remaining in Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play for the mens soccer team, Occidental College still has a chance to climb the ladder and earn a spot in the Post Season tournament. Today on the Lower Soccer field the Tigers encountered a set-back, however, in the form of the conference leading Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens who earned a 1-0 victory despite a well balanced match-up.
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Oct. 17, 2009) The Occidental College Tigers faced the visiting Cal Lutheran University Kingsmen this morning on Patterson Field. The Tigers, who played incredibly well throughout the game, just couldnt muster enough for the win, falling 3-2 in a close-knit Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match-up.
LA VERNE, Calif. (Oct. 10, 2009) The Occidental College mens soccer team got back on track this morning with a 2-0 road victory over the University of La Verne to snap a two-game skid in Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action.
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Oct. 7, 2009) The Occidental College Tigers traveled to Whittier College to face the Poets for their eighth match in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference this afternoon. An early lead would not hold as penalty kicks hurt the black and orange in a 4-2 loss. .
