    CHANG, VAN DEVENTER EARN TRIPS TO NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS — FIVE TIGERS ALL-SCIAC LOS ANGELES — Occidental swimmers Caroline Chang (Lilse, Ill.) and Steven Van Deventer (Naperville, Ill.) both earned invitations to the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships, highlighting a handful of 2012 season honors for the Tigers.

    CHANG, ROBSON WINNERS AT SCIAC CHAMPIONSHIPS SOUTHGATE — Caroline Chang (Lisle, Ill.) repeated as the SCIAC champ in the 100 and 200 yard breaststroke, and Jessica Robson (Elk Grove) completed her undefeated season with SCIAC titles in the one-meter and three-meter diving competitions, leading the Occidental College women’s swimming and diving team to a fourth-place finish at the SCIAC Championships.

    OXY SWIM TEAMS EARN IMPORTANT WINS AT CIT PASADENA — The Occidental College men's and women's swimming and diving teams both earned dual meet wins at Caltech on Wednesday, picking up a pair of points each with one meet left before the SCIAC Championships. The Oxy women won 165-71 and the men 132-96.

    TIGERS CAN'T TAKE DOWN MANNING'S ALMA MATER CLAREMONT — In his first trip back to his old stomping grounds wearing orange and black, Occidental College swimming and diving coach Shea Manning came up empty in his quest to upset his alma mater Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. The Oxy men fell 235-53 and the women 203-93.

    TIGERS HANDLE LEWIS AND CLARK, EARN FIRST DUAL-MEET WIN LOS ANGELES — Zachary Condon (Newbury Park), Steven Van Deventer (Naperville, Ill.), Ben Sullivan (La Canada) and Stephen Ratkovich (Castle Rock, Col.) all notched multiple wins and swam a leg on the winning 200 yard medley relay team, leading the Occidental College men’s swimming and diving team to it’s first win of the season, a 164-96 victory over Lewis and Clark College in a swim-only, non-conference meet on Monday.

    VAN DEVENTER WINS ANOTHER 200 BREAST IN OXY LOSS REDLANDS — Steven van Deventer (Naperville, Ill.) won the 200 yard breast stroke for the second day in a row, but the Occidental College men’s swimming and diving team lost to last season’s No. 7 finisher at nationals the University of Redlands on Saturday 181-56.
