Oxy Men's Swimming and Diving Wins Pepperdine Invite

MALIBU — The Occidental men's swimming and diving team beat NCAA Division II and Division III competition with a first-place finish at the Pepperdine Invite on Saturday.

The Tigers took down SCIAC rivals Cal Lutheran and Whittier, and NCAA Division II schools Concordia-Irvine and Cal Baptist for the victory at the five-team competition.

From the Coach: "For this early in the year, I'm happy with where we're at," Oxy head coach Steve Webb said. "Our depth was key and our divers really stood out, especially Dion Holden and Chesten Browning."

Oxy took first, third and fourth place in the 1-meter diving competition led by Dion Holden's win. Holden also took first in the 3-meter diving with Browning placing second.
