Tigers Fall to Mustangs

POMONA, Calif. (Mar. 1, 2008) –  While the Tigers found a pair of victories in singles play on the road against the Cal Poly Pomona Broncos, the Tigers fell 7-2 in non-conference action.

The Tigers found two victories in singles play. Oxy’s Vince Karlen won a powerful match against Cal Poly’s Mike Palacio, (6-1, 6-1) and Alex Montgomery followed with the second singles win for Occidental.

Despite keeping Cal Poly’s doubles players on their toes, Oxy was swept by the Broncos doubles play. 

The loss drops Oxy’s season record to 2-6.

Returning to their home courts, Occidental will face Sewannee on March 7.
