Tigers Compete at SCIAC Men's Tennis Championships
REDLANDS, Calif. (April 17, 2009) - Today the
eight men's tennis programs from across the conference met for the
2009 SCIAC Championships hosted by the University of La Verne at
three locations in Redlands.
On Friday at the two-day tournament, the No. 6
ranked Tigers rebounded from an opening match loss to Cal Lutheran
(5-0) in teh morning to defeat the host Leopards 9-0 in the
Semifinals as ULV plays in their final SCIAC Tournament before the
program is put on hiatus by the university.
Claremont-Mudd-Scripps entered as the No. 1 seed
and advanced to the championships match against the No. 2 seeded
Bulldogs from the University of Redlands.
