REDLANDS — Hugh Pegan and the Occidental men's 4x100m team sprinted their way to the top of the national rankings.
Pegan posted the fastest time in NCAA Division III so far this season with a 21.84 in the 200m at the Redlands Invite on Friday. He also joined Chris Rom-Toribio, Kyle Dalton and Keane Collins for the top time in the 4x100m this season at 41.70.
"The 4x100m team has been an incredibly consistent this year, which in my experience has been an indication that they're ready for a tremendous breakthrough," Oxy assistant coach and sprints specialist Tyler Yamaguchi said. "They're poised to run some exciting times in the coming weeks."
