Seven Tigers Polo Players Earn All-Academic Status
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (April 8, 2008) – Seven members of the 2007 Occidental College men’s water polo team earned All-Academic recognition after completing their rigorous academic work while playing at a highly competitive level in the pool.

Big Goal, Big Block, Big Win
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Oct. 13, 2007) – It all came down to 10 seconds, then it all came down to one. Both times the Occidental Tigers came through as Abiel Garcia overcame two defenders with a behind the back shot that found its way past Fresno Pacific goalie Tighe Hill before Oxy’s sophomore keeper Max Kelly made a huge save to clinch the 13-12 victory.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Oct. 12, 2007) – There was no lack of offense from the Tigers in the pool today as 16 different Occidental players found the back of the net in a 23-10 non-conference action today at Taylor Pool.

Tigers Win Three this Week
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Oct. 11, 2007) – After nearly a week off from competition, the Tigers water polo team returned to the competition pool at the Claremont Convergence Tournament Oct. 5-6. Occidental returned home with a 2-2 split.

Tigers Fall in Home Opener
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Sept. 26, 2007) – For the first time of the 2007 season the Occidental Tigers jumped into Taylor Pool for a competition. The results on this day were not what the fans who packed bleachers had hoped for as the Eagles out scored the Tigers 19-15 despite a late Oxy comeback.

Polo Sweeps By Opponents at Cal Baptist Invitational
CLAREMONT, Calif. (Sept. 22, 2007) – Occidental College water polo posted a pair of 10-goal performances as they defeated Western Water Polo Association rival Chapman University 10-4 and Mt. Sac College 10-6 at the 2007 Cal Baptist Invitational on Saturday.

Polo Gets First Win of Season at Inland Empire Tournament
REDLANDS, Calif. (Sept. 8, 2007) – Just nine days after the water polo team jumped in the pool to begin training for the season they played in the Inland Empire Tournament (hosted by Redlands and La Verne) on Sept. 8-9. With just one win in four games, Occidental is confident they will continually improve becoming more competitive as the season wears on.
