Benz gets off All-America nod to conclude collegiate career

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Nine weeks after Greg Benz was named to the Second Team All-SCIAC the senior added one more accolade to his resume earning 2010  All-America Honorable Mention as announced today by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC).

In the fall of 2010 Benz, a team captain, played all 28 games and scored 42 goals with 23 assists, 35 drawn ejections and 19 steals before he was named the 2010 Tigers' MVP.

Overall in his four-year career Benz played in 109 of 111 games and scored 105 times for the Black and Orange.

The list of accomplishments that the three-year starter accrued extended beyond the pool, being named a four-time All-Academic honoree as an Economics major.

Additionally, Benz stretched his collegiate experience internationally, studying abroad in Ghana, Africa during the Spring of 2010.
