Oxy Offense Scores 16 Against Chapman

LOS ANGELESNicolas Lipari had a big day with six goals and five assists, but the Occidental men's water polo team fell short in a shootout against Chapman, 20-16.

There was plenty of offense to go around with Alexander Zim and Hayden Comerford each scoring two goals, and Jasper Lee, Cian Concannon, Walter Sandbloom, Jason Teng, Elijah Havens and Joseph Cox all scoring one goal for Oxy.

Comerford had five steals, Cox had three assists and two steals, and Teng added a pair of assists for the Tigers. 

Henry Grady made 14 saves in goal for Oxy.

Chapman was led by Vasil Halchev with five goals.

Season Impact: Oxy falls to 11-11 overall and 1-9 in SCIAC play.

Chapman improves to 9-16 and 5-5.

Next Game: Oxy is back in action at Mt. SAC on Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. The Tigers' next SCIAC game is at Redlands at 7 p.m. on Oct. 31 and next home game is Nov. 7 against Whittier at 4 p.m.
