WALLA WALLA, Wash. — Thomas Robertson and Tim McClure were both All-West Region as the Oxy men's cross country team placed seventh overall at the NCAA Division III West Regional hosted by Whitman on Saturday.

Robertson finished 19th (25:32.4) and McClure was 21st (25:34.4) in the 8k.

Andy Reischling was the overall winner at 24:49.2, leading Pomona-Pitzer to a first-place finish. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps was second, followed by UC Santa Cruz, Redlands, Pacific Lutheran, Colorado College and Oxy.

The Tigers were a little disappointed with the result after an outstanding second-place finish in the SCIAC on Oct. 27.

"We're disappointed with our finish today," Oxy head coach Rob Bartlett said. "But we had six men on the trip who hadn't been to a Regional Championship before and the experience they got today will help them grow in the future."
