Tigers swept by Bethany

Occidental dropped a pair of games to Bethany College (CA) 3-0 and 17-8 Saturday, Feb. 10 at Bell Field.   The Tigers jumped out to a 3-0 lead early in game two but the Bruins scored seven runs in fourth inning, three in the fifth, and seven more in the seventh to record the win.

Carey Crowell '07 went four for four in game two with three doubles and two runs batted in.   Alyssa Escalante '10 hit two doubles and knocked in three runs while Teresa Brabant '10 went three for four with three singles.

The Tigers travel to Costa Mesa on Wednesday for a doubleheader with Vanguard University starting at 1pm.  Occidental opens SCIAC play Saturday, Feb. 17 at Whittier and returns home to host La Sierra University in a Sunday doubleheader Feb. 18 at 12pm.
