Pomona-Pitzer 3-9, Occidental 0-0

Occidental dropped a pair of SCIAC contests with Pomona-Pitzer Saturday, Feb. 24 at Bell Field.

Pomona-Pitzer improved to 5-5 overall, 2-2 SCIAC, while Occidental fell to 0-12, 0-4.

Alyssa Escalante '10 went three for three with a walk to lead the Tigers in game one.  Occidental left 11 runners on base, loading the bases in the second and third innings.

Carey Crowell pitched all seven innings, allowing nine hits while striking out six.  The Sagehens scored three runs on five hits, all singles, in the top of the fifth inning.

The Sagehens' Billie McGrane tossed a no-hitter in game two.  Pomona-Pitzer scored five runs in the third inning, one in both the fourth and fifth, and two in the sixth. 

Kelli Moriguchi '08 worked all six innings for Occidental, allowing four earned runs with four strikeouts.
