Mallory North added nine points on a trio of 3-pointers in 36 minutes played for Oxy. Raveena Dhiman scored eight points off the bench, Madison Toy had seven points and Kulaea Tulua had two points and six rebounds.
"I thought we battled the entire game," Oxy head coach Anahit Aladzhanyan said. "Unfortunately, our shots didn't fall and theirs did. I'm proud of our heart and grit."
Colorado College outrebounded Oxy 44-31 and shot 46 percent from the field while Oxy shot just 34 percent.
Jade Odom led Colorado College with 20 points, Nia Duplain was 5 for 5 with 15 points and 11 rebounds, and McKenzee Gertz had 18 points and eight rebounds.
Colorado College went on a run to finish the first half up 35-24 after and evenly played first quarter, and stayed in control during the third quarter. The Tigers made a push in the fourth, but came up short.
Season Impact: Oxy falls to 1-2 on the season.
Colorado College improves to 1-0 on the year. They will also play Whittier and La Verne while it is in Southern California.
