GUAM — Kristin Oberiano, a three-time All-SCIAC women's golfer and Guam native, won the 2015 Nissan Guam Women's Amateur championship last week, posting a 1-under 71 in the final round to take the title.
Oberiano, also the SCIAC Freshman of the Year in 2013, shot 80, 75 and then 71 for a three-round score of 226. The second best total was 230.
The returning senior finished second in this tournament in 2014 and has competed in the Japanese World Amateur as well.
"We are very proud of Kristin as she continues to develop into a championship level player," Oxy head coach Andrew Larkin said. "Being able to capture your national amateur is a huge accomplishment in anyone's career. Her final round being her best round shows her growth this season and something we know she will carry over to her senior year."Follow Oxy Athletics on Twitter Sign Up for Newsletters Watch on Youtube Follow us on Instagram
