Uchiyama Shoots Lowest Round at SCIAC 2

RIVERSIDEKaty Uchiyama and Nicole Henderson had their lowest career rounds as the Oxy women's golf team competed at SCIAC No. 2 at Jurupa Hills GC this weekend.

Uchiyama, a sophomore psychology major from Cerritos, had rounds of 83 and 81 for a combined score of 164, finishing in the top 20.

Henderson, a first year biology major from Freemont, shot 87 and 88 for a 175 total.

"I'm very proud of how we competed this weekend," Oxy head coach Will Morris said. "It gives us a glimpse of the improvement to come."

Oxy played without No. 1 Samantha Rocha who missed due to injury, but will return for the SCIAC Championship at Los Serranos on April 23-25.
