LOS ANGELES -- Ciara Byrne scored five goals on a record-setting day, Alessandra Pelliccia chipped in five and Shai Goodman added four as the Occidental women's lacrosse team made easy work of Whittier, 22-1 at Jack Kemp Stadium on Saturday.

Byrne had two caused turnovers, making her the new school record holder in the statistical category.

Pelliccia, a first year who's leading the Tigers with 29 goals on the season, dominated most of the game, getting seven ground balls, six draw controls and four caused turnovers.

Sierra Slack had three goals, Kallyn Song-Nichols added two, and Marie Whitmore, Elizabeth Andrews and Madisyn Hallare each added one.

"I'm proud of the effort today. It was a very good team win," Oxy head coach Stephanie Mark said. "Ciara, Sierra and Alessandra lead the way for us all over the field and others follow."

Season Impact: The Tigers improve to 7-1 overall and 2-1 in SCIAC play. Oxy has won five games this year by 10 goals or more.

Next Game: Oxy is back in action against North Central (Ill.)  on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Jack Kemp Stadium.
