LOS ANGELES — It's the the end of a very successful era for the Occidental women's lacrosse program.

Stephanie Mark, who has been the program's head coach for the past five seasons, is moving back to the Pittsburgh area with her husband Matthew to be closer to family with the birth of their new daughter Caroline.

Mark leaves Oxy as the winningest coach in program history with a 54-35 overall record. During her tenure the Tigers went to one SCIAC Championship game, four SCIAC Semifinals and one NCAA Division III Postseason Tournament. She coached one SCIAC Offensive PLayer of the Year and two SCIAC Newcomers of the Year, along with having players selected to the IWLCA All-West Region and All-American teams every season.

Her husband Matthew Mark is also leaving his post as the Caltech baseball head coach after several years at the helm of the program's most successful era.

"I'd like to thank Occidental for the past five years," Mark said. "I had the pleasure to recruit and work with amazing families and student-athletes at Oxy and I will miss working with my team immensely. My husband, daughter and I look forward to being closer to family though on the east coast.  I'll always be cheering for Oxy lacrosse."
