Two Tigers earn All-West Region honors

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Dec. 14, 2009) Announced last week by the National Coaches Soccer Association of American, two Tigers have earned All-West Region recognition for her performance on the soccer field during the fall of 2009. After earning First Team All-SCIAC both Marci Kang and Season Falkler-Rodriguez landed on the Third Team All-West Region.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Nov. 18, 2009) Following the fall season of 2009 a number of Occidental College athletes were recognized by the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference after being earning All-SCIAC honors.
CLAREMONT, Calif. (Nov. 7, 2009) They entered the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference post season tournament as the No. 3 seeded team and after upsetting the No. 2 University of Redlands 2-0 on Thursday the womens soccer had high hopes of repeating the feat this afternoon on Pritflaff Field. Unfortunately for the black and orange, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, the No. 1 seeded team, and No. 2 team in the West Region, had other plans, sending the Tigers home with a 1-0 defeat to close out the 2009 season.
CLAREMONT, Calif. (Nov. 5, 2009) The first two times that Occidental College and University of Redlands met on the soccer field in 2009 UR had the upper hand, winning twice in Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action. Tonight, on neutral turf, the Tigers reversed the pair of 2-0 losses to the Bulldogs with a 2-0 semi-final win at the 2009 SCIAC Post Season Tournament.
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Oct. 31, 2009) This morning Occidental College visited Whittier College to play the Poets in their last game of the regular season. The 3-0 shut-out victory over the Poets, coupled with a Cal Lutheran University loss, clinched the third seed and a playoff spot for the Tigers as they prepare to continue on to Post Season play.
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Oct. 21, 2009) In back-to-back games the womens soccer team has earned 2-0 victories, shutting out their opposition. Today, at Pomona-Pitzer, Occidental used goals in both the first and second halves to earn a Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference win.
THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (Oct. 17, 2009) This morning on the road the Occidental College womens soccer team handed the Cal Lutheran University Regals their first loss of the month when they posted a 2-0 win, scoring both goals in just over two minutes during the second half.
