Divers Dominate at Bulldog Invitational

REDLANDS, Calif. (Nov. 22, 2008) – Occidental divers made a strong showing at the 2008 Bulldog Invitational hosted on Saturday by the University of Redlands.

The Tiger duo of Celeste Faber and Marisa Pulcrano finished 1-2 on the one-meter board while Faber also earned first place in the three-meter competition.

On the 1-meter board Faber was victorious by more than 35 points as she scored a 224.55 on her six dives. Next in line among the field of 15 competitors was Pulcrano  who scored 189.15 points combined.

Faber followed up with a 229.65 point, first place performance on the 3-meter board, defeating her next closest opponent by more than 40 points.

The senior from Chicago, IL was the SCIAC champion last year on the 1-meter board and runner-up on the 3-meter. Additionally she was the runner-up in both events as a sophomore in 2006-07.
