    SUBBIAH TAKES DOWN NO. 15 PLAYER IN THE WEST OXY LOSES FIRST SCIAC MATCH LOS ANGELES — Krishnaveni Subbiah (Beaverton, Ore.) beat the No. 15 ranked player in the nation in No. 1 singles, but the Occidental College women’s tennis team lost its first SCIAC match of the season to No. 26 Redlands 8-1 at Scholl Canyon on Friday, ending its three-match winning streak.

    OXY'S NO. 1 DOUBLES STILL UNDEFEATED, TIGERS WIN THIRD STRAIGHT LOS ANGELES — Krishnaveni Subbiah (Beaverton, Ore.) and Rachel Buckner (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.) kept their undefeated streak at No. 1 doubles alive, improving to 9-0 on the season, and the Occidental College women’s tennis team moved to better than .500 for the second time this year with a definitive 8-1 victory over Pacific Lutheran at Scholl Canyon on Wednesday.

Baseball, women's water polo, women's lacrosse, softball, and the men's and women's tennis, track and field, and golf teams all face competitive non-conference opponents before commencing SCIAC regular season play.
