Linda Park is entering her fourth season as head coach of the Occidental women's tennis team. Additionally, Park was named the Occidental Tennis Coordinator in October 2007.
A native of San Marino, Linda was a top-flight competitor in USTA Juniors, achieving a ranking of 10th in singles and 1st in doubles in the Southern California section. She also received national recognition in both singles and doubles, getting ranked 40th in singles and 7th in doubles. She played her collegiate tennis at Cal and received her B.A. in Social Welfare.
A former elementary school teacher, Park has taught private tennis lessons for many years throughout the San Gabriel Valley.

team goals will be the first steps to success. I am looking
forward to partnering with this team and achieving our goals
together."
During her time as the Women's Tennis Coach, Park coached Kelly Hasegawa (4 time All-SCIAC First Team), Krishnaveni Subbiah (All-SCIAC First Team), Jennifer Wahba (1-time All-SCIAC First Team, 2-time All-SCIAC Second Team), and Marissa Cassman (2-time All-SCIAC Second Team). Hasegawa’s highest regional ranking was 10 and Subbiah’s ranking last year was 13. Subbiah and Cassman are currently on the team. |

Park oversees the men’s tennis program and has directed Occidental’s Tiger Tennis Camp for the last 3 years.
Park currently resides in South Pasadena with her husband Sam, and three children Matthew, Samantha and Carissa. The family dog, Sonny J., runs around with the Park clan as well.

After a successful career as a Tigers tennis player, Marty Bean returns for his third stint with Occidental. The 1992 Oxy graduate is no stranger to Occidental tennis after playing four years, serving as an assistant coach for the men's and women's teams for two seasons and holding the title of Men's Head Coach in 1993-94.
Bean brings more than 20 years of experience teaching tennis at both the collegiate and high school levels. He has also coached private and group lessons, helping juniors achieve success in tournaments and high school competition. During his teaching career Bean has held jobs at The Racquet Centre as a Tennis Professional in South Pasadena (1989-93, 1994-2007), Head Coach at the Westridge School for Girls (1992-94) and the Glen Oaks Swim and Tennis Club (1990-92).
Currently Bean works for the District Attorney as a full time attorney after graduating from Loyola Law School in 1997. At Occidental, he earned a Bachelors Degree in Economics.
