Three Tigers Track and Field athletes earn All-Academic

BEREA, Ohio (May 27, 2010) In her first National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Track & Field Championships, Occidental junior Kelly Young, threw her way to All-American status with a seven-foot personal best in the javelin on day one of the 2010 Division III Championships.

(April 17, 2010) More than half of the combined mens and womens track and field teams recorded personal or seasonal best performances today as Occidental College completed a phenomenal Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference quad meet at the Bill Henry Track today. The host Tigers were 2-1 for both mens and womens teams as Oxy hosted Cal Lutheran University, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Pomona-Pitzer in a great preview meet for SCIAC Championships to be held April 30 and May 1.

(April 17, 2010) In the final Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference quad meet of the season Occidental College hosted Cal Lutheran University, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Pomona-Pitzer in what turned out to be a strong indication of what will happen at the SCIAC Championships in two weeks time at Pomona-Pitzer.
