Three Tigers Track and Field athletes earn All-Academic

BEREA, Ohio (May 27, 2010) – In her first National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Track & Field Championships, Occidental junior Kelly Young, threw her way to All-American status with a seven-foot personal best in the javelin on day one of the 2010 Division III Championships.

(April 17, 2010) – More than half of the combined men’s and women’s track and field teams recorded personal or seasonal best performances today as Occidental College completed a phenomenal Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference quad meet at the Bill Henry Track today. The host Tigers were 2-1 for both men’s and women’s teams as Oxy hosted Cal Lutheran University, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Pomona-Pitzer in a great preview meet for SCIAC Championships to be held April 30 and May 1.

(April 17, 2010) – In the final Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference quad meet of the season Occidental College hosted Cal Lutheran University, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Pomona-Pitzer in what turned out to be a strong indication of what will happen at the SCIAC Championships in two weeks time at Pomona-Pitzer.
