2011: Was named the SCIAC Female Student-Athlete of the Week on Nov. 8 after leading the Tigers to the program's first SCIAC Tournament Championship. Her career week culminated with a match-high 19 kills and 29 digs against No. 15 Cal Lutheran. Rose hit .327 in the finals and had four kills in the fifth set to beat the defending champions on their home court. While the climax was impressive, Rose was also the main reason the Tigers finished second in the overall SCIAC standing and advanced to the finals in the first place. She had a match-high 15 kills, to go along with two aces and 10 digs, in a three-set sweep at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Nov. 1—securing the second place finish for the Tigers. Then in the rematch with the season on the line against the Athenas on Nov. 3, she had another match-high 11 kills and four aces, to go along with three blocks, 12 digs and four assists in just three sets.
HIGH SCHOOL: She played varsity volleyball for four years at a small liberal arts school (Dunn School) in the Santa Ynez Valley. She won the honor of All CIF Second Team and MVP during her volleyball years at Dunn School. She was also volleyball captain her senior year. She helped lead her volleyball team, 3 years in a row, to the quarterfinals in CIF.
PERSONAL: Kasey was born on Feb. 25th 1991 and lived 13 years of her life in Brentwood, Los Angeles before moving up to the Santa Ynez Valley. She has no siblings but has a TON of animals (chickens, horses, dogs, cats, and a rabbit). Kasey also used to be a dancer until 7th grade, when she first started to play volleyball. Kasey plans on becoming an anesthesiologist in her future, but for now is undeclared and is trying to find a major that suits her, while getting all the requirements to get into med-school.
