Jump Back In the Pool With the Tigers
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Jan. 31, 2008) – Oxy water polo returns all but one starter from the 2007 season in which they ranked amongst the top 10 Division III schools for the 12th consecutive season. The Tigers will again be led by three-time NCAA All-American Danielle Montenegro and All-American goalie Laura Simanonok, The Tigers are confident in their ability to play water polo at a competitive level within the SCIAC and beyond this season.
Oxy will also rely on the experience of returners Sara Boehler, Kelly Curtain, Nancy Moore, Ashley Notti, and Haley Rosehill; as well as the depth provided by a banner recruiting class that adds eight talented student-athletes to the roster.
According to head coach Larry Zubrin, "The combination of talent, experience, and depth is unlike any we've had since I've been at Oxy. I think we're looking at the beginnings of a water polo dynasty.”
