Poker Tournament Fundraiser: Support Oxy Water Polo

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Feb. 18, 2009) – OXY Sports fans, and poker buffs…mark the date of March 21st,  2009 on your calendar for an exciting event here at Occidental College.  In conjunction with this years men’s and women’s alumni games, the Occidental Water Polo teams will hosting a spectacular Texas Hold-Em’ Fundraising Poker Tournament!

All proceeds from the event will go to support both the men’s and women’s teams at Occidental.  The tournament is open to any alumni, friends and family, so whether you’re a former polo player or just a good ole’ Oxy fan, you’re more than welcome to participate.

Prizes, including a weekend get-a-ways, gift certificates, and much more, will be awarded to the top players in the tournament. Additionally there will be prize drawings for some great Oxy team apparel and memorabilia.

This will not only be a great way to give back to the college and help support our athletes, but it will promise to be loads fun as you hang out with good friends and win some great prizes.

Tickets for the event are $50 (Tax Deductible) Which includes food and drink.  In addition we are offering a chip buy-in structure for the event, enabling you to limit your donation according to your personal budget.  Reserve your seat at the table no later than Wednesday March 11, 2009!   Send your check payable to Occidental College to:
