Tigers Tie for Third at SCIAC Multi-Duals
LA MIRADA, Calif.(Oct. 18, 2008) – The Tigers posted a 4-3 record at the SCIAC Multi-Dual meet, tying the University of Redlands and the University of La Verne for third place.
Occidental was led by senior Rachel Keylon who crossed the finish line in 23:34.19 in 11th place. The freshman duo of Sadie Mohler and Meghan Whalen were the next to cross for Oxy in 23:44.36 and 24:47.28, respectively.
Juniors Grace Peck (24:36.53) and Denali Halsey (24:42.58) rounded out the Tigers scoring in the 6K race.
Seventeen Oxy runners completed the race today with six making her first SCIAC appearance.
Claremont-Mudd-Scripps earned the top finish with a 7-0 day followed by Pomona-Pitzer who went 6-1.
In two weeks the SCIAC Championships, at Prado Park in Chino Hills, are sure to be a competitive race with five teams in the hunt for the title.
Teams will run on Saturday, Nov. 1 beginning
at 9:00 a.m.
