Oxy Settles for Fifth
CHINO HILLS, Calif.(Nov. 1 2008) – The hopes of a repeat were folded today when the women’s cross country team finished fifth at the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships.
Occidental’s top finisher in the meet was junior Grace Peck who improved on her Multi-Duals time by over 30 seconds to finish in 24:05.13 today. Next in line for the Tigers was freshman Sadie Mohler who placed 17th with a time of 25:00.68.
Denali Hasley, another junior harrier, crossed the finish line next in 25:14.47. Rounding out the top five for Oxy were the freshman and senior duo of Eliza Dornbush (25:25.99) and Rachel Keylon (25:30.53), respectively.
Claremont-mudd-Scripps finished first with Pomona-Pitzer placing second. Redlands and Whittier followed before Occidental with Cal Lutheran and Caltech rounding out the field.

Tigers will graduate just two seniors in Keylon and Allison
Kjeldgaard.
