    SIX RUNNERS EARN ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICAN HONORS NEW ORLEANS — Six Occidental College cross country runners — three men and three women — were named USTFCCCA Academic All-Americans on Friday for maintaining cumulative grade point averages of 3.4 or better while competing during the 2011 season.

    WOMEN'S XC TAKES THIRD AT LA MIRADA LA MIRADA, Calif. — The Occidental College women's cross country team finished third at the behind Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (7-0) and Whittier College (6-1) at the SCIAC Multi-Dual at La Mirada Park on Saturday. Oxy's top five finishers combined for 89 points, just seven behind the Poets 82.
