LAGUNA HILLS, Calif. (Feb. 6, 2009) – Legendary Occidental track coach Payton Jordan, who presided over the golden age of Tiger track and field in the 1950s, died Thursday of cancer at his home in Laguna Hills. He was 91.
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Jan. 8, 2009) – At the end of this month Occidental College track and field athletes and alumni alike will gather at the Annual Tiger Track Alumni Association Awards Banquet in the Johnson Student Center to recognize the accomplishments of the currents and past Oxy student-athletes.
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Dec. 3, 2008) – Two Tigers performed well enough at the SCIAC Championship meet to earn All-SCIAC recognition. Grace Peck was named to the First Team while Sadie Mohler was honored on the Second Team.
CHINO HILLS, Calif. (Nov. 1 2008) – The hopes of a repeat were folded today when the women’s cross country team finished fifth at the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships
LA MIRADA, Calif. (Oct. 18, 2008) – The Tigers posted a 4-3 record at the SCIAC Multi-Dual meet, tying the University of Redlands and the University of La Verne for third place.
RIVERSIDE, Calif. (Sept. 27, 2008) – Occidental College’s women’s cross country team competed against numerous Division I and NAIA schools at the 2008 UC-Riverside Invitational this morning.
REDLANDS, Calif. (Sept. 13, 2008) – Both the men’s and women’s cross country teams built on their week one performances as they traveled to the Redlands Invitational marking their second competition of the 2008 season.
IRVINE, Calif. (Sept. 6, 2008) – Tigers took the course for the first time in 2008 at the UCI-Asics Cross Country Invitational this morning where they finished seventh as a team, averaging a time of 20:39.12.
