Oxy Hosts Chapman in SCIAC Tournament Final


LOS ANGELES — The Occidental men's soccer team hosts Chapman in the SCIAC Tournament Championship Game at Jack Kemp Stadium on Saturday at 7 p.m.

How They Got There: No. 3 Oxy won at No. 2 Redlands 1-0, and No. 4 Chapman won at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in penalties (5-4) on Thursday, giving the Tigers the opportunity to play for their first SCIAC Tournament Championship and NCAA Division III Playoff bid on their home turf.

Admission: Tickets for students and employees with a current ID from any SCIAC school are free. General admission costs $10, while senior citizens 55 and over and military personnel with ID are $5. Children under 12 are free.

Oxy Standouts: Head coach Rod Lafaurie's Oxy squad is led by SCIAC Player of the Year Liam Walsh and seven other All-SCIAC selections (Matthew Labrie, Ethan Glass, Scott Drazan, Riley McCabe, Nate Dunning, Ariel Rosso and Ben Simon). 

Chapman Standouts: Chapman is led by All-SCIAC performers Kai Howe, Jonah Tipp, Jarod Matteoni and Patrick Quinn.
