Oxy Falls to Chapman

LOS ANGELES — The Occidental men's soccer team fell 2-0 against Chapman at Jack Kemp Stadium on Wednesday night.

Oxy gave up two early goals and was unable to bounce back, despite a handful of good chances.

Justo Garcia scored Chapman's first goal in the 13th minute, finishing a rolling cross.

Aidan Wall scored the Panthers' second goal in the 18th minute on a deep shot from the right corner of the penalty box. 

Season Impact: The Tigers fall to  4-3-2 overall and 1-2 in SCIAC.

Chapman improves to 2-5 and 1-1.

Oxy has played a very tough early SCIAC schedule, facing the other three SCIAC Postseason Tournament participants. The Tigers were the No. 3 seed before winning at Redlands and advancing to face Chapman in the Tournament Championship Game.

Next Match: Oxy is back in action against Whittier at 7 p.m. on Saturday at Jack Kemp Stadium.
