LOS ANGELES — Zeke Sebastian and the Occidental men's swimming and diving team cemented its outstanding season with a big victory at Whittier 184-84 to conclude their SCIAC dual-meet season.

Oxy finishes the year 6-2 against SCIAC competition. Only No. 9 Pomona-Pitzer and No. 10 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps had a better dual meet season.

Oxy was also ranked No. 10 in the final CSCAA West-Midwest-South Region and posted its best regular season record since the 1980s.

Sebastian won the 100 free and 200 free. His 200 free time of 1:42.69 was a personal best and is just off the NCAA B-Cut and school record.

Austin Lashley also had a big day, winning the 50 free, the 100 fly and leading the 200 free relay team of Sebastian, Sam Sachs and Zander Granath to victory.

Ben Sappey, Parag Kalay, Vahe Akopyan, Matt Howard and Matt Weiser all had big days with individual wins.

The Tigers now head towards the final preparation for the SCIAC Championship on Feb. 21-24.
