Oxy Track Records Eight PRs, Two D3 Top 20 Times

CLAREMONT — Hugh Pegan and Jeh Johnson led the No. 19 Occidental men's track and field team with NCAA Division III seasonal top 20 performances at the Pomona-Pitzer Invite on Saturday.

Pegan ran the 400m in 48.47 seconds for the 9th best time in the country this season, and Johnson put together the nation's 16th best time in the 200m with a 21.87.

The Oxy men had four other personal records and one seasonal best.

The Oxy women had four women produce personal bests, including Onyekachi Nwabueze who ran the fifth best time in the SCIAC this year with a 59.67 in the 400m.

Personal Records

Brody Barkan, 800m (1:55.37) - Third best in the SCIAC this season.

Nicholas Conklin, 400m hurdles (56.99) - Nearly a 3 second PR.

Kyle Dalton, 400m (49.71) - His time is the sixth best in the SCIAC this season.
