LOS ANGELES — Raveena Dhiman scored 20 points off the bench — including six 3-pointers — as the Occidental women's basketball team cruised past St. Katherine 74-57 in its season opener at Rush Gym on Saturday.
Keondra Smith led St. Katherine with 15 points.
The Tigers hit 11 3-pointers and shot 43 percent from the field.
"I was happy with our ball movement and the readiness to knock down shots," Oxy head coach Anahit Aladzhanyan said. "We were solid on offense and average on defense. Overall, it was a nice team win which we will learn from and build on as we prepare for back-to-back games next week."
