Bois Named SCIAC Defensive Player of the Week

LOS ANGELES — Occidental goalkeeper Neah Bois was named SCIAC Defensive Player of the Week on Monday after leading the women's lacrosse team's defense in a pair of impressive performances last week.

The senior from Alta, Utah made 16 saves, including 11 against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Saturday.

The Tigers held CMS to its lowest scoring output of the season in a 12-6 loss and gave up just six goals in a 17-6 win over Redlands on Wednesday.

"Neah has been the anchor of our defense this season, being a vocal leader and making big saves in critical moments," Oxy head coach Hannah Khin said. "We were able to hold nationally-ranked CMS to its lowest goals scored this season due to Neah's 11-save performance."

Oxy is back in action on Wednesday at Whittier at 7 p.m.
