WALLA WALLA, Wash. — Roxanne Valle finished 15th overall and Aria Blumm finished 19th as the Occidental women's cross country team took fourth place at the NCAA Division III West Regional, hosted by Whitman College on Saturday.
The fourth-place finish ties the program record for best finish at a Regional in the past 14 years.
Both Valle and Blumm earn All-West Region honors for placing in the top 20. Valle crossed the line in the 6K in 22:51.7, Blumm finished in 22:59.8 and Davies came in at 23:36.
The meet caps a very good season for the Oxy women's team that already finished third in the SCIAC on Oct. 27.
Helen Guo of Pomona-Pitzer was the overall winner of the competition at 21:48.5.
Claremont-Mudd-Scripps won the meet, followed by Pomona-Pitzer, Whitman and Oxy.
The Top two schools receive automatic bids to the NCAA Division III National Championships.
Oxy's season is almost certainly finished with third-place Whitman the only school in contention for an at-large bid.Follow Oxy Athletics on Twitter Sign Up for Newsletters Watch on Youtube Follow us on Instagram
